Every year, March gives us a lovely reason to pause, come together, and remind ourselves how important care, support, and togetherness are, not only in our work, but also in the everyday relationships we build as a team.

This time, we wanted to mark International Women’s Day in a way that went beyond the usual gestures. We wanted to share something different, more meaningful, and more lasting. Rather than choosing traditional gifts, we chose an experience. Instead of something fleeting, we wanted something that would stay with us long after the day was over.

That is how we found ourselves gathered around a weaving workshop – a craft that carries with it the richness of tradition, the beauty of handmade work, and a valuable reminder that some things are not created quickly, but with great care, thread by thread.

Of course, weaving is not something you simply pick up along the way. It requires focus, a steady hand, patience, and a willingness to accept that not everything has to come together perfectly right away. That is precisely what made the experience even more meaningful, because it took us out of our everyday routine and into a different rhythm, slower, more focused, and quietly calming.

With the guidance of artist Angelina Marković, who led the workshop that day, we quickly realized that this was not only a chance to learn something new, but also an opportunity to discover something about one another. Who trusts the process, who likes to stay in control, who remains calm when things get tangled, and who would rather skip straight to the finished result.

One of the things that made the day so meaningful was the fact that we celebrated it by supporting women who are creating and building something of their own. Instead of the usual gifts, we marked International Women’s Day in a way that felt true to us, creative, thoughtful, and intentional. With delicious treats from Štrudla moja and small gifts that keep growing, seed bombs filled with flower and herb seeds, the entire day was designed to carry meaning, warmth, and a sense of continuity.

That is why moments like these mean so much to us. Not only as a break from everyday life, but also as a reflection of the values we want to nurture all the time: creativity, connection, mutual understanding, and a space where there is room for growth, laughter, and new experiences.

And perhaps that is the most beautiful part of all of it – when a shared day leaves behind more than just the feeling that we had a wonderful time, and instead gives us the sense that we have woven the threads that connect us even more closely together.
